Don't forget, we will be back at Washington Park to run 3.1 miles. Please remember, everyone should show up with the ID on your shoes.
Hope you have a great weekend. Run strong!!

Hi everyone.
I need your advice. I did hill work on Thursday night by the cemetary and now I'm REALLY sore. I picked a big hill and ran up it as fast as I could 10 times. Now my shins, calves, and hips are incredibly sore. I had planned to run both Saturday and Sunday, with my long run on Sunday. Should I try to run even though I'm hobbling around like an old woman, or should I wait until the soreness passes? I'd like to run, but I don't want to make things worse.
This is my 7th year of training for the Abe's Amble and my 6th as a Group Leader. I decided 7 years ago to give running a try after reading an article about Abe's Army in the paper. It gave me the encouragement to give it a shot. I have been hooked ever since. I have ran 5 marathons, with the last one at Indianapolis last fall. I qualified for Boston in the spring of '09 and was not able to run it this past April but hopefully will in '10. My license plates say it all - LV TA RUN

Becca,
Your long runs are very important, but letting the body recover is more important. (Ice and rest)
